Invocations against the oppression of rulers
129:- O Allah , Lord of the seven heavens , Lord of the Magnificent Throne , be for me a support against [such and such a person] and his helpers from among your creatures, lest any of them abuse me or do me wrong. Mighty is Your patronage and glorious are Your praises. There is none worthy of worship but You.

أللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمواتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ , كُنْ لِي جاَراً مِنْ

ا(فُلانِ بْْنِ فُلاَنٍ) , وَأَحْزَابِهِ مِنْ خَلاَئِقِكَ أَنْ يَفْرُطَ عَلَيَّ أحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ أَوْ

يَطْغَى , عَزَّ جاَرُكَ وَجَلَّ ثَناَؤُكَ , وَ لاَ إِلَهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ


129. Allaahumma Rabbas-samaawaatis-sab'i, wa Rabbal-'Arshil-'Adheem, kun lee jaaran min [here you mention the person's name], wa 'ahzaabihi min khalaa'iqika, 'an yafruta 'alayya 'ahadun minhum 'aw yatghaa, 'azzajaaruka, wajalla thanaa'uka, wa laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta .

Reference: Al-Bukhari, Al-'Adab Al-Mufrad (no. 707). Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahih Al-'Adab Al-Mufrad (no. 545).

130:- Allah is the Most Great , Mightier than all His creation . He is Mightier than what I fear and dread. I seek refuge in Allah, Who there is none worthy of worship but Him . He is the One Who holds the seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His command . [I seek refuge in You Allah] from the evil of Your slave [name of the person], and his helpers, his followers and his supporters from among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my support against their evil. Glorious are Your praises and mighty is Your patronage. Blessed is Your Name, there is no true God but You. (Recite three times in Arabic.)

الله أكََْبَرُ، الله أعَزُّ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ جَمِيْعاً ، الله أعَزُّ مِمَّا أخَافُ وَأحْذَرُ ,  

أعُوذُ بِاللهِ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ  إِلاَّ  هُوَ ، الْمُمْسِكِ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ أَنْ يَقَعْنَ

عَلَى الأَرْضِ ِإلاَّ  بِإِذْنِهِ ، مِنْ شَرِّ عَبْدِكَ (فلان) وَجُنُوْدِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَأَشْيَاعِهِ

، مِنَ اْلجِنِّ والإِنْسِ ، اَلَّلهُمَّ كُنْ لِيْ جَاراً مِنْ شَرِّهِمْ ، جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَعَزَّ

جَارُكَ ، وَتَبَارَكَ  اسْمُكَ ، وَلاَ إلَهَ غَيْرُك


130. Allahu 'Akbar, Allahu 'a'azzu min khalqihi jamee'an, Allaahu 'a'azzu mimmaa 'akhaafu wa 'ahtharu, 'a'oothu billaahil-lathee laa 'ilaaha 'illaa Huwa, almumsikis-samaawaatis-sab'i 'an yaqa'na 'alal-'ardhi 'illaa. bi'ithnihi, min sham 'abdika [name of the person] , wa junoodihi wa 'atbaa'ihi wa 'ashyaa'ihi, minal-jinni wal'insi, Allaahumma kun lee jaaran min sharrihim, jalla thanaa'uka wa 'azza jaaruka, wa tabaarakasmuka , wa laa 'ilaaha ghayruka.

Reference: Al-Bukhari, Al-'Adab Al-Mufrad (no. 708). Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahih Al-'Adab Al-Mufrad (no. 546).



Invocation against an enemy
131:- Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift to account , defeat the groups (of disbelievers) . O Allah , defeat them and shake them.

اللَّهُمَّ  مُنْزِلَ اْلِكتَابِ ، سَرِيْعَ الْحِسَابِ ،اِهْزِمِ الإْحْزَابَ ،اللَّهُمَّ اِهْزِمْهُمْ

وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ


131. Allaahumma munzilal-kitaabi, saree'al-hisaabi, ihzimil-'ahzaaba, Allaahumma ihzimhum wa zalzilhum.

Reference: Muslim 3/1362.



What to say if you fear people may harm you
132:- O Allah, suffice (i.e. protect) me against them however You wish.

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِماَ شِئْتَ

132. Allaahummak-fineehim bimaa shi'ta.

Reference: Muslim 4/2300.



Invocations for if you are stricken by Doubt in your faith
133:- I seek refuge in Allah.
(Then you should desist from doing what you are in doubt about.)

أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ 

133. `A'udhu billah

:- (Say :) I believe in Allah and His Messenger.

آمَنْـتُ بِاللهِ وَرُسُـلِه

134. 'Aamantu billaahi wa Rusulihi.

135:- (Recite the Ayat) He is the First and the Last, the Most High and the Most Near. And He is the Knower of all things.

هُوَ الأوَّلُ، وَالآخِـرُ، وَالظّـاهِـرُ، وَالْبـاطِـنُ، وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ

عَلـيم


135. Huwal-'Awwalu wal-'Aakhiru wadh-Dhaahiru wal-Baatinu, wa Huwa bikulli shay'in 'Aleem.

Reference: Al-Hadid 57:3, Abu Dawud 4/329. Al-Albani graded it good in sahih Abu Dawud, 3/962.



Invocations for the settling of a debt
136:- O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden , and make me independent of all others besides You.

اللّهُـمَّ اكْفِـني بِحَلالِـكَ عَنْ حَـرامِـك، وَأَغْنِـني بِفَضْـلِكِ

عَمَّـنْ سِـواك


136. Allaahummak-finee bihalaalika 'an haraamika wa 'aghninee bifadhlika 'amman siwaaka.

Reference: At-Tirmithi 5/560. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmithi 3/180.

137:- O Allah , I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and from being overpowered by men (i .e. other people).

اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّي أَعْوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الهَـمِّ وَ الْحُـزْنِ، والعًجْـزِ والكَسَلِ

والبُخْـلِ والجُـبْنِ، وضَلْـعِ الـدَّيْنِ وغَلَبَـةِ الرِّجال


137. Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal'ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaali .

Invocation against the distractions of Satan during the prayer and recitation of the Qur'an
138:- (Say :) I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast (then spit to your left). (Do this three times reciting in Arabic.)

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطانِ الرَّجِيْمِ

138. 'A'oothu billaahi minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem.

Invocation for when you find something becoming difficult for you
139:- "O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy."

اللّهُـمَّ لا سَـهْلَ إِلاّ ما جَعَلـتَهُ سَهـلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْـعَلُ الْحَـزَنَ

إِذا شِـئْتَ سَهـْلاً


139. All‚humma l‚ sahla ill‚ m‚ ja'altahu sahlan, wa anta taj'alu-l-hazana idh‚ shi'ta sahlan.

Reference:
Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (no. 2427), and Ibn As-Sunni (no. 351). Al-hafidh (Ibn Hajar) said that this Hadith is authentic. It was also declared authentic by "Abdul-Qadir Al-Arna'ut in his checking of  An-Nawawi's Kitabul-Athkar p. 106.



What to say and do if you commit a sin
140:- There is not any slave of Allah who commits a sin, then he performts his ablution and stands to pray two Rak'ahs of prayer, then seeks Allah's forgiveness, except that Allah will forgive him.

Reference: Abu Dawud 2/86, At-Tirmithi 2/257. Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahih Abu Dawud 1/283.



Invocations against the Devil and his Promptings
141:- Seeking refuge with Allah against him
(i.e by saying: I see refuge in Allah from Satan the Outcast.)

142:- The call to prayer - 'Adhdhaan

143:-  Saying words of Allah's remembrance (Dhikr), Recitation of the Qur'an and supplications (Ad-du'aa`)

Reference: "Do not turn your homes into graveyards, surely the Devil flees from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is read," Muslim 1/539. The Devil is also driven out by the invocations for morning and evening, those that are said before sleeping and upon waking up, those for entering and leaving the house, including those for entering and leaving the mosque, and by many other authentic invocations taught to us by the Prophet (SAW) such as the reading of 'Ayatul-Kursi, (Al-Baqarah 2:255), and the last two 'Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah before going to sleep. Whoever says: "There is none worthy of worship but Allah alone, Who has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and he is Able to do all things," one hundred times, it will be a protection for him from the Devil throughout the day.'



Invocation for when something you dislike happens, or for when you fail to achieve what you attempt to do
144:- It is the Decree of Allah and He does whatever He wills.

قَدَّرَ اللهُ وَما شـاءَ فَعَـلَ

144. Qadarullaahi wa maa shaa'afa'ala.

Reference:
"The strong believer is better and more dear to Allah than the weak believer, and in each of them there is good. Be vigilant for what is to your benefit and seek the help of Allah and do not falter. But when you are striken by some setback, do not say: 'If only I had done such and such,' rather say: 'It is the Decree of Allah and He does whatever He wills.' For verily the saying 'if (i.e. if only I had) begins the work of the Devil." Muslim 4/2052.




Congratulations for new parents and how they should respond
145:- May Allah bless you with His gift to you , and may you (the new parent) give thanks, may the child reach the maturity of years , and may you be granted its righteousness.

بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي الْمَوْهُوبِ لَكَ وَ شَكَرْتَ الْوَاهِبَ , وَبَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ

وَرُزِقَْتَ بِِرَّهُ


145. Baarakallaahu laka fil-mawhoobi laka, wa shakartal-waahiba , wa balagha 'ashuddahu, wa ruziqta birrahu.

The reply of the person being congratulated is to say:

باَرَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَبارَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَجَزَاكَ اللّهُ خَيْراً وَرزََقَكَ اللَّهُ مِثْلُهُ وَ أَجْزَلَ َ

ثَوابَكَ

Baarakallahu laka wa baaraka 'alayka, wa jazaakallaahu khayran, wa razaqakallaahu mithlahu, wa 'ajzala thawaabaka.

May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and may Allah reward you well and bestow upon you its like and reward you abundantly

How to seek Allah's protection for children
146:- The Prophet (SAW) used to seek Allah's protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain by saying:
I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast , and from every envious blameworthy eye.

أُعيـذُكُمـا بِكَلِـماتِ اللهِ التّـامَّة، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْـطانٍ وَهـامَّة،

وَمِنْ كُـلِّ عَـيْنٍ لامَّـة


146. 'U'eethukumaa bikalimaatil-laahit-taammati min kulli shaytaanin wa haammatin, wa min kulli 'aynin laammatin.

Invocations for visiting the sick
147:- Do not worry, it will be a purification (for you) , Allah willing.

لا بأْسَ طَهـورٌ إِنْ شـاءَ الله

147. Laa ba'sa tahoorun 'inshaa'Allaah.

:- I ask Almighty Allah , Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to make you well. (Recite seven times in Arabic.)
 
أَسْـأَلُ اللهَ العَـظيـم، رَبَّ العَـرْشِ العَـظيـم أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ

148. 'As'alullaahal-'Adheema Rabbal-'Arshil-'Adheemi 'an yashfiyaka.

The reward for visiting the sick
149:- When a man goes to visit his sick Muslim brother, he walks along a path of Paradise until he sits , and when he sits he is cloaked in mercy. If he comes in the morning, seventy thousand angels pray for him until evening, and if he comes in the evening, seventy thousand angels pray for him until morning
